About Me

The Woman Behind the Words

Before i was a writer,
I was a reader

I have always had a love of all things bookish. My superpower is speed reading — Kindle Unlimited and Kobo Plus are an absolute blessing when you devour books the way I do. I love a vast array of genres, but two truly captivate me: Romantasy and dark romance.

I always wanted to write. I had stories swirling in my head for years. But life caught up with me and I never quite got around to putting them down on paper.

Then I got
Breast Cancer.

At 50, I found myself forced to slow down and start again. And in that stillness, something shifted. I thought  “f**k it”. I’m going to write that book that’s been keeping me awake at night.

That decision gave birth to the Joint Special Ops Team series, starting with Deep Under.

Why I Write
What I Write.

When I was going through treatment, all I wanted was to read about a breast cancer survivor who came out the other side — and was also a total badass. I couldn’t find her. So I created her.

Maddie is a character I had thought about for years, but making her a breast cancer survivor completed her. I wanted her to face some of what I faced — the fear, the loss of identity, the moment you no longer recognise your own body. But I also wanted her to rise. Fiercely.

And for every warrior woman, you need a strong alpha male. I have always loved a SEAL. Jack and Maddie’s story is one of second chances, redemption, and healing — and I hope it’s exactly the story someone out there needs to read right now.
